It’s also a bit of a learning situation for the latter, and I liked how that was handled. It’s being told through the entertaining banter of Prometheus’ story with Zeus interjecting at times. Now with that, I actually quite liked the tale in this one. It’s almost like the ultimate pinnacle of doing side stuff in order to do story. It’s just strange as the story is somewhat light yet always present and you have to do side activities to progress. It is weird that you need to head elsewhere to grind out materials to improve yourself to take on some of these boss creatures. I will note that they do have neat large legendary creatures to fight such as the fun Hydra. They do mix that up a lot throughout each of the vaults, but the concept is very similar in each of them. It’s frustrating I suppose, and sort of boring after awhile. It’s as though it took me thirty minutes to beat an area that logically in how I think should take about five minutes. The physics on them are wonky, they never seemed to go where I wanted and would constantly break. I’m also driven to near madness due to the block and or square box type items you have to use many times. Many of them you have to do through the story progression, and while interesting they’re very repetitive in nature.Īgain to get back to my point, you have this lovely world and most of the core action takes place in these somewhat great looking but bland otherworldly locations. The vaults are essentially dungeons and strewn across the landscape.

Yet, when the real action happens you’re thrust into these vaults. It’s interesting, as you have this expansive and lovely landscape present to explore. You’re going about with freedom in how you tackle the four core areas and doing mostly the same setup throughout. While this is RPG oriented, those mechanics are somewhat lighter and this is more of a puzzle/challenge sort of experience. The latter of which I’ll reference a few times while going through this review. This is the latest open world RPG action game from Ubisoft, feeling like a mix of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s gameplay with mechanics from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
